A fellow member of my squadron impaled his hand on another member's bayonet at our passing out parade at RAF Swinderby back in the 70's.
He pulled his hand free & completed the parade, thus showering those in front & behind with blood from his leaking hand.
He did look rather odd wearing one white glove & one red.......
