Court ruling.
This is in the US, but it's too impressive not to mention on here.
So Mr Murphy sued the government of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (a US territory near Guam), saying their gun laws were unconstitutional, but he couldn't find any lawyers who would help him. (I think the Second Amendment Foundation helped him a bit towards the end.)
After nine years of suffering various degrees of harassment, he won for the most part (he lost on a few points where the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has already ruled).
More impressively, this is the first time a district court (as opposed to an appeals court) has ruled an "assault weapon" ban unconstitutional and the court also overturned the gun registration provisions as well, which I think is also a first.
The court also struck down a lot of other stuff, such as an excise tax on handguns and a calibre restriction.
So there are people in the world more stubborn than I am. _________________ Steve.
