And there in a nutshell is why H&K will only sell to NATO countries now.

H&K argues they shipped all the guns to Mexico City and weren't responsible for shipments to the prohibited places in Mexico, but apparently the prosecutors have evidence H&K bribed officials in those States to buy the G36s, so clearly H&K knew where they were going.

Anyway, Mexico ripped off the design of the G36 for their FX-05 assault rifle and H&K attempted to sue them, but they eventually agreed a settlement and Mexico changed the design enough to avoid anymore patent infringements.

Next up, they might be prosecuted for shipments to Libya...
