Rules for posting in the Equipment Exchange forums:

You must comply with all relevant laws regarding the transfer of the item(s) in question. There is a summary of the law in the British Isles at:

However, you should note the details contained in the actual laws regarding transfer, and in the British Isles, the information contained on your shotgun/firearm certificate on transfers of firearms. Transfers of licensed firearms in the United Kingdom between two private parties generally must be done in person (although a firearm dealer can be used as an intermediary).

All items sold must be in full compliance with any relevant proof or CIP requirement (including ammunition - no dodgy reloads for sale, please).

Detailed information on importing and exporting firearms to other EU States, to Northern Ireland and also elsewhere is contained in sections 26-28 of Home Office Guidance to Police. Be sure you follow it! (Note that the provisions relating to Northern Ireland have changed and the guidance has not yet been updated). The Munitions List (Schedule 2) in the Export Control Order 2008 gives current details on what requires an export licence from the UK and the Isle of Man. (Basically everything except air guns that aren't licensed in GB, deactivated firearms proved in GB and bayonets).

If you want to import firearms or ammunition and certain accessories, bear in mind you must almost always have an export licence from the country where the goods come from. People most often trip up on the requirements to export from the United States - for all "significant military equipment" (which includes anything significant to do with firearms, and basically anything to do with firearms valued at more than $100), you must have a US export licence, these can only be applied for by a US citizen, and if it's a commercial export, the person must be licensed under the Arms Export Control Act. There are more details on the State Dept. website. The only general exception to this requirement is for sporting shotguns and shotgun ammunition, which require a Commerce Dept. export licence.

Persons importing firearms or ammunition and certain accessories (such as magazines) into the US must also have a valid approved ATFE Form 6 Part 1 import license for the items, and a certified copy of this must be presented to BIS as part of any export licence application.

Any firearm dealer posting in the equipment exchange forums must make that fact clear, and post their firearm dealer registration/licence details if applicable. Excessive posting by dealers in the forums will not be tolerated, the general idea of the forums is to allow private individuals to sell or buy items they may have.

You must state in any ad a clear description of the item you are selling (or want to acquire) and clearly state how much you want for it (or are willing to pay). Pictures are allowed!

Cybershooters does not make any money from the posting of such advertisements and cannot be held liable for any inaccurate information contained in the ads or any disputes or disagreements arising from them. Make sure before engaging in any transaction that it is legitimate. Caveat Emptor!

Any person who in our opinion is breaking the law or engaging in any sort of underhanded practice will be reported to the relevant authorities!

Only three things are certain: death, taxes and stupid gun laws.
