There will be some excretory organs a-twitchin' elsewhere on the fringes of the UK trade, I fancy. Just two or three . . . .

The point is that if you are charged in the Federal courts you are as good as guilty. The first people to cop a plea get leniency in return for shopping the others charged. Then, you either face life in Club Fed or plead guilty. It doesn't really matter what you may or may not have done, the little people will get crushed by the process. I feel sorry for anyone caught up in the nightmare.

Well, I reckon the US criminal justice system is just a bit more sophisticated than that.

Wasn't he up for his extradition hearing last week ?

If he fights extradition he's going to be looking at even more prison time, I'm told.

I think we all know there is no point trying to fight extradition to the USA, our government gave up on that one long ago.

Especially if you claim there's a "conspiracy" against you. I really need to get a copy of the indictment.

There are plenty of authpritative summaries of the indictment on various sites, including DoJ.
Won't they do for you ?

There's more detail in the actual indictment, it will lay out the evidence against him. Looks like the Daily Mail paid the fee: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1370677/Weapons-gun-parts-U-S-arms-firm-illegally-trafficked-Middle-East.html

So basically, let me get this straight, he illegally exported sound suppressors made in Finland to the US (where they were illegally imported), just so they could be marked in the US and then illegally exported them from the US to countries in the middle east he could have gotten a DTI export licence for?

We really must think up a conspiracy theory so we can explain away this scale of stupidity... er... let's think... well the one he's presented in court seems quite good, the US Govt. has a "conspiracy" against him. Laughing

Just take the deal already and get on a plane.

Didn't the Met have a "conspiracy" against him too ? Reminds me of Lady Bracknell's comment about losing a parent Rolling Eyes

Bit more info in this blog.

That argument doesn't make sense to me, the USG got him arrested so the bank could seize his assets, but he was able to recover them anyway and get another $3 million auction? Well if he recovered them then what's the plot against him?

Ah, conspiracy theories...

The Man from Pinner. (For some reason the original article from The Independent doesn't work).

Application for legal aid denied.

Ruling on 30 November.

Looks like he'll miss Thanksgiving in Tennessee State Prison by a week.

Never mind, there's always the next 40 years.
