I had a go with one a year ago, it seemed like the only real candidate the US Army would pick if they actually were going to pick something. It's a bit like a Glock but the trigger is quite stiff and the grip felt slimmer.
I suspected strongly they wouldn't pick Glock because (a) no factory in the US that makes the gun they submitted and (b) Glock is being sued by everyone and their mothers.
SIG-Sauer has their own legal problems but they wouldn't affect the availability of the P320. The contract award is apparently near $600 million, which is a lot of pistols, around two million. _________________ Steve.
