Hmm, let's see if that kid feels the same way after he gets a driving licence and hits one of those deer.

"Animal-rights activist and former hunter R.J. Bailot denounced the plan. "It's a blood sport," he said. "It's not something that you have to do to live.""
Typical thoughtless drivel from an "anti."
I presume he is quite happy to eat meat produced from animals that have been commercially bred, injected with Heaven knows what, transported in cramped conditions to an auction & then onwards to a slaughterhouse, packed into pens where the smell of their own kinds blood & fear is all pervading & then conveniently packaged to lessen any knowledge of what people are actually buying.
Ask a child today where meat comes from & most haven't a bloody clue that it's part of an animal. Rolling Eyes

I'm sure he's a vegan, most of the strident anti-hunting types are.

I don't think those comments are going to resonate in a province where one of the main industries is the meat industry.

The Alberta meat packing industry is currently bringing in immigrants from all over the world to work in their plants, so if you fancy a move...

Too far North - I'm looking at New Mexico with an eye to buying a place & retiring there before I reach sixty - there's a Hi Power, an L1A1 & a para FAL there that have been promised to me for when I'm legally entitled. Very Happy
Plenty of elk, mule deer & antelope in the area I fancy too.

I have '1 new message', which is not possible to access due to the way the board 'code' is configured, so thanks to 'oddbod' whom I assume responded to my earlier post. (Steve cannot override the block.)

I've only been to Raton, bit desolate for my tastes. But you can hunt Elk in the mountains in the northeast of Arizona.

NRA Whittington Center?

Been there a couple of times & booked in for next June.

Impressive set of ranges & LOADS of antelope & mule deer.

Raton itself is a typical "middle of nowhere" place but the countryside gets much nicer only a few miles West of town.

Haven't been to Los Alamos yet.

I'm looking at a couple of places in Grants & Ramah, West of Albuquerque.
